HOW A BAND STARTED MAKING TV... A QUEST FOR COOL VISUALS FOR OUR MUSIC

In San Diego, they made their first music video and loved the highly creative process -
after already doing audio recording - it was a natural leap.
Then they moved to Austin, Texas and found out about ACTV.

ACTV allowed people to have 24 hour access to both making and broadcasting TV.
So they were able to do late night shows and all night marathon shows during SXSW. It was a wonderful place to learn and grow from more experienced producers: Robert Rodriguez (SpyKids) and Richard Linkletter (Dazed & Confused) both started there - as did so many creative and dedicated people from many walks of life - all getting along to bring the public new shows.

Then, Austin added the Austin Music Network where Paz & Aliah's shows also played.
They covered SXSW each year with a SOTV Special and gave exposure to visionary musicians, artists, poets, activist and their causes.

During the 10 years in Austin - making TV & music, and helping to establish a visionary music scene in Austin - and working with Steven Barron on
MOTHER EARTH CONCERTS SERIES
that ran for 10 years and was of the same ideal -
each year giving to a differnt good cause to give the profits to.

Aliah Selah's CD ACOUSTIC PERFUME (Produced by Tim Records of Austin City Limits) was released and she played on many radio stations and made many music videos from the CD that played on their shows and others. With Lilith Fair the atmosphere was perfect for her songs - played at many births - including the birth of their son.
Her next CD SHADES OF IMAGES (Produced with Mitch Watkins) was released in Austin
and was playing on many Radio Stations there - and she was a featured artist on Magic 95
And Paz and Aliah played her songs at Festivals, Events, Cafes
and a regular Thursday at Mr. Naturals Cafe.

They had begun doing web programming and finding ways to do media on the INTERNET then...
.com, went .bomb... and they were .gone out of Austin, and back to California where
Aliah has some interest with her music and there was more web development media work.
(Or they would not have left Austin... they love and miss everyone there abd willl tour there later.)

First, they settled in Southern CA where Aliah (with Paz on Flute & Hand Drum)
was showcasing in LA with BUZZ PLAY and playing at a lot of festivals - and a regular Thursday at Miracles Cafes & then Exotic Bamboo.

But then, with other opportunities in the Bay Area (where Aliah had lived before)
they moved to the Oakland/Berkeley area and became producers at BTV in Berkeley
with the vision of a new show.

Then, they found & moved to
the magical town of Santa Cruz
where they have made their home.

Paz & Aliah became Public Access Producers at CTV
and began working on their new show -

CREATIVE EVOLUTION: A Visionary Variety Web/TV Show

ON 9/9/09 they made a plan....

To put out their first Sacred Jam CD's on
10/10/10 - SPIRAL ON... HOMEWORLD & then another on
11/11/11 - SPIRALON... ZOOM POP!
And to do a new Sacred Jam of Santa Cruz Players for 12/12/12
SPIRAL ON... WE HERE NOW.

The first 2 CD's were 2 Sacred Jams with the one & only Steve Bernal of Austin.

(Steve is an Austin treasure - who actually has his own day in Austin for all the amazing bands he has played Bass in over the years. Many of which we video taped on TRIPPIN IN AUSTIN.
He's a virtuoso bass player who was at the peak of his Bass playing when we recorded them.
Now he plays cello... maybe he will add cello tracks to the mix - the sacred jam continues.)

on 12/12/12 SPIRALON... WE HERE NOW

after doing a Sacred Dance Visioning at the ocean on 12/12/12 with several Sacred Qi Dancers
- that will be shown with the new CD for a full moon celebration for the first 4th Friday Sacred Music Visioning at Body & Soul on 12/28/12.

And soon enough, with our new band that is made up of members of the
very awesome fusion Santa Cruz band Wasabi - check them out... espeically those of you in Austin.

New music videos will be shown at our regular gigs at Body & Soul
and it will be a way to video tape visionaries for upcoming shows.


CREATIVE EVOLUTION will be a monthly show on Channel 27 yet for now you can see it on the home page of this site. For those of you not in Santa Cruz County or those who prefer it...
we will also be posting the show on this site - on the front page.
